Ken Librot

Chief Information & Operations Officer

Ken Librot serves as Chief Information and Operations Officer (CIOO) for MUFG Americas. As Head of Operations & Technology, his responsibilities include supporting core technology functions such as strategy, applications, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, technology modernization, and IT governance. In addition, he oversees Enterprise Information Security, Program Management, Operations and Technology Risk Management, Mergers & Acquisitions Integration, and Operations and Process Excellence, including both Consumer and Wholesale (payments, treasury and cash management, middle and back-office support, etc.)

Prior to his role of Interim CIOO, Ken served as Head of Operations & Process Excellence (OPE) within Operations & Technology for the Americas. This group delivers best-in-class operations support, focused on providing executive and strategic leadership for our core banking operations functions in the region, as well as developing the bank's long-term operations strategy to support the continued growth and scaling of the business. 

Ken joined MUFG after nine years at Bank of Montreal where he served as Global Head of Operations. Most recently, he was responsible for the Technology and Operations organization for the United States across the Consumer, Commercial, Payments, Wealth Management and Capital Markets groups, and served as the Chief Information & Operations Officer for Global Capital Markets. He led technology, operations, data, information security, fraud, and procurement as well as the regulatory relationships in the U.S for Operations and Technology.

Over his 30+ year career, Ken has held several increasingly senior positions in global banking. Prior to joining Bank of Montreal, Ken was at Citibank, where he served as Managing Director and the Regional Head for North America Securities and Wealth Operations. Before working at Citibank, he was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns & Company for Capital Markets Operations and Middle Office. 

Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Union College and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University. He grew up in the New York area and resides in Manhattan, as do all three of his adult children.
