Ken Librot
Chief Information Officer
Ken Librot serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for MUFG Americas . As Head of Technology for the Americas, his responsibilities include supporting core technology functions such as strategy, applications, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, technology modernization, and IT governance, as well as providing oversight for Enterprise Information Security, Program Management, and technology-related Risk Management.
Prior to his role of CIO, Ken served as Head of Operations & Process Excellence (OPE) within Operations & Technology for the Americas. This group delivers best-in-class operations support, with a focus on developing the bank's long-term operations strategy to support the continued growth and scaling of the business.
Ken joined MUFG after nine years at Bank of Montreal where he served as Global Head of Operations. There he was responsible for the Technology and Operations organization for the United States across the Consumer, Commercial, Payments, Wealth Management and Capital Markets groups, and served as the Chief Information & Operations Officer for Global Capital Markets. He led technology, operations, data, information security, fraud, and procurement as well as the regulatory relationships in the U.S for Operations and Technology.
Over his 30+ year career, Ken has held several increasingly senior positions in global banking. Prior to joining Bank of Montreal, Ken was at Citibank, where he served as Managing Director and the Regional Head for North America Securities and Wealth Operations. Before working at Citibank, he was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns & Company for Capital Markets Operations and Middle Office.
Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Union College and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University.
