Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Hoerle

Chief Human Resources Officer for the Americas  

Beth Hoerle is Chief Human Resources Officer for the Americas, where she leads human resources strategy and operations across the United States, Canada, and Latin America for one of the world’s 10 largest financial institutions. She is a member of the Executive Committee for the Americas.

With more than 30 years of experience in human resources leadership, Ms. Hoerle oversees a broad portfolio encompassing Performance, Reward and Benefits; Talent Acquisition; Talent Development and Learning; Employee Relations; Business Management; C.O.R.E. (Community, Opportunity, Representation, and Effectiveness); and Corporate Communications. Her work focuses on strengthening organizational capability, advancing a high‑performance culture, and enabling sustainable growth through people‑centered strategies.

Since joining MUFG in 2006, Ms. Hoerle has held a range of senior leadership roles, including serving as HR Business Partner to the Global Corporate & Investment Banking business. She played a critical leadership role in guiding the firm’s human capital strategy through the sale of MUFG Union Bank to U.S. Bancorp in 2022 and has spearheaded multiple initiatives supporting enterprise growth, transformation, and global alignment.

Prior to MUFG, Ms. Hoerle spent 16 years at J.P. Morgan Chase in a variety of leadership roles across the HR function. She currently serves on iMentor’s New York City Regional Advisory Board, supporting first‑generation students from under‑resourced communities as they pursue higher education and long‑term career success.

Ms. Hoerle holds an MBA from Fordham University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Villanova University.
