Takeshiga Ota

CEO, MUFG Fund Services (USA), MUFG Capital Analytics & MUFG Investor Services (US); Head of Fund Finance, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation

Takeshige (“Take”) Ota is the CEO of MUFG Fund Services (USA), MUFG Capital Analytics and MUFG Investor Services (US), and the head of Fund Finance at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation’s (MUTB) New York branch, and is a member of MUFG’s Executive Committee for the Americas.

Mr. Ota has been a key leader at MUTB for more than two decades, joining the organization in 2004. Over the course of his career, Mr. Ota has built deep expertise in Trust Asset and Global Investor Services, dedicating over 15 years to advancing these businesses through strategic leadership and operational excellence.

Within Global Investor Services, Mr. Ota has overseen critical functions including strategy and planning, subsidiary management, securities lending, and fund finance. His leadership has been instrumental in driving growth and innovation across these areas. Additionally, Mr. Ota has played a pivotal role in M&A transactions, contributing significantly to successful post-merger integration efforts.

Beyond his contributions to investor services, Mr. Ota has led a major restructuring of MUTB’s Human Resources policies, managing initiatives that shaped company-wide performance evaluation systems and personnel transfers. His ability to navigate complex organizational challenges underscores his commitment to fostering operational efficiency and talent development.

Mr. Ota received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Tokyo.
