Richard Testa, Managing Director and Head of the Investment Grade Finance team within the Capital Markets Group is currently responsible for the Technology, Media, Telecommunications verticals for the Investment Grade Capital Markets team.

Rich has been involved with a number of new issue transactions, debt underwritings, and liability management exercises throughout his career that include the issuance of senior and subordinated debt, surplus notes, and preferred stock.  At MUFG, he has worked on several high profile deals including AT&T’s $22.5 billion financing to fund their Time Warner acquisition and IBM’s $20 billion transaction to fund the purchase of Red Hat. 

During his tenure, he has been instrumental in launching a number of new businesses and initiatives within MUFG, including spear heading the investment grade debt capital markets origination expansion, aligning and staffing industry specific DCM coverage and creating both the Liability Management and Commercial Paper teams.

Rich joined MUFG from Bear, Stearns & Co. in 2008 where he spent over 10-years.  He holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Clarkson University.
